It still strikes us as odd, or at least unexpected (though not at all a bad thing!), when someone we know _isn't_ some type of otherkin/therian/whatever-you-want-to-call-it.
When we found furry in general probably nigh on a decade ago, we thought the whole _point_ of it was kin-related. It was a bit of a surprise to later learn about otherkin, because then what was furry?
Of course we know now. It's just kind of alien thinking of being human.
@starkatt I mean, there are people who do that as part of their shapeshifter identity, and our predecessor was one of those!
@Felthry I'm still kind of confused by people who wear species like they're cool outfits.
