apparently electronic devices in the UK used to be sold without plugs on them? Interesting. I don't think that was ever much of a thing in the US, but maybe we're just not old enough to remember it.
@BatElite my guess would have been just so the same thing can be sold to the UK and other parts of Europe without having to offer multiple options for the power cord
