re: DnD update
@Draekos I'm guessing that was supposed to be dark side of the moon?
re: DnD update
@Draekos the cosmology of your world must be pretty interesting though for the moon to be tidally locked to the sun instead of to the earth
is it a pseudomoon?
re: DnD update
@Draekos (you probably have not put this much thought into the minutiae of the setting)
re: DnD update
@Felthry Oh no we've had a long discussion on it at and MANY questions about it. As far as I can tell we're about to try to solve the messed up moon issue <_<
We had to jump off the top of a mountain to get here. It's a whole thing.
re: DnD update
@Draekos i'm interested to know what the explanation is
"it's a psuedomoon" would be the most straightforward answer but it wouldn't work with a moon that's visibly of similar size to the earth's moon
re: DnD update
@Felthry okay so.
We had to go fight 4 gravity elementals to release chains that were binding a chunk of the shadow plane to the dark side of the moon. Killing them had the chains re-link to a main tower, pulling that part of the moon back into shadow plane and sent the moon itself slingshotted back into it's original course.
Notably this returned the night sky to an ancient city we've been... recovering? Previous session was us taking back the city's seasons from 4 nobles in a weird plane where it was cut in 4.
But yeah, returning the sky pulled the city(?) out of the cave it was in and now it's a peninsula? Geography and magic have a VERY strange relationship here.
re: DnD update
@Felthry denizens of the plane of shadow, living on the dark side of the mood.
It's a whole thing.
