kind of a subpost but more about my reaction to things than about anyone else
why is it that whenever I get an answer that just says "yes" or "no" and nothing more--even if what I asked was just a yes-or-no question--I get this feeling of dread, like I did something to upset the person and now they're being terse out of wanting to not interact with me or something
re: kind of a subpost but more about my reaction to things than about anyone else
@Felthry I think there's an implication in a bare "yes" or "no" that the very brevity of the answer is implying something additional that isn't stated. Which is frequently anxiety-inducing, when not understanding what nobody told you has dangerous mental associations.

@packbat I mean I guess it didn't have a period at least? because just "yes." would probably come off as a lot more deliberately-terse than "yes"

@Felthry I also like the word problemy, now that you have brought it to my attention
