@Nine other chips added those features but I know the superFX 2 was how it was done in yoshi's island, the most well known game that used that kind of stuff
super mario kart didn't have sprite scaling, it just had a bunch of different sprites of each player at different scales already drawn
@Felthry but yeah true sprite scaling and rotation was def a super fx thing, along with 3d graphics. Also turns out there were several other enhancement chips, including a pseudo parallel processor enhancement that not only had triple the clock speed of the core processor, but also more ram, and both chips could interrupt each other independently! Kinda genius.
