somehow I think there's something wrong with this drive
(it's halfway through being securely wiped, which involves overwriting the entire drive with random data multiple times. there's actually nothing wrong with the drive, it's just had its filesystem replaced with gibberish)

noticed something interesting while taking the screenshot in the post this is a reply to (took a bit to figure out how to get a good picture of it zoomed in); CJK characters apparently don't have any sort of subpixelly stuff going on with them (probably because they're too intricate and that would make them harder to read?)
@Felthry ooh! When I was younger I was kinda fascinated by sub pixels and the colour variance they had?
It’s cool to know they’re like that to make stuff easier to read.
