computeing, the sex number

i was able to get another of the same exact heatsink fans i already have and i just reversed the direction so i could have 2 fans on my cpu

this is in addition to the 5 case fans

excited to overclock to 69ghz

re: computeing, the sex number

i have no idea if i have enough cpu headers for this (2)

re: computeing, the sex number

me: if there isn't i can just plug it into a case fan header which will probably be shit but it'll be on and then there'll be 2 fans instead of 1 fan which is a higher number of fans

re: computeing, the sex number

if i do this i will absolutely be able to overclock this to a ridiculous level because i literally can't get it any cooler without liquid cooling

@xenon what if you put it in a refrigerator

re: computeing, the sex number

@Felthry good idea, what if i use a mini fridge as a case

re: computeing, the sex number

@xenon they actually do something like that for server farms, sort of--they'll use a refrigerator to cool a coolant fluid down to below room temperature to help keep things running

re: computeing, the sex number

@xenon it's not literally in a fridge but it's basically taking the cold part of a fridge out of the fridge and putting it on the cpus

re: computeing, the sex number

@Felthry @xenon I was just wondering about heat pump cooling directly to the CPU die.

re: computeing, the sex number

@starkatt @xenon well, it's directly to the cpu heat spreader at least! there's no direct coolant-to-die contact

re: computeing, the sex number

@Felthry @xenon heat spreader, right. Dies are fragile. I should be more precise with my language :)
