in tales of vesperia, steal items seem to be from the same table as drop items, which means it's possible to steal bat wings from a bat, or the shell off a crab

somehow this doesn't affect them

@Felthry you can also still get the kill drop after stealing, iirc, so

Some crabs have two shells, we guess!

@Felthry Is this repeatable? Can you keep stealing multiple wings from the same bat?

This also reminds me of the Pickpocket spell in Ultima 6, which could be used to steal meat chunks from animals from a distance without harming them (because they are in the animal's "inventory" that they drop on being killed).

@dodec I don't actually know, but I don't think so--I think it's like most rpgs where you can only steal the thing once from each enemy
