@Felthry insurance is wild. who do you have that covers your prescriptions? i had a similar experience with CVS Caremark. they force you to get 90 day supplies and to use their mail order pharmacy. they wouldn’t fill 90 day supplies at any brick and mortar pharmacy, not even their own. after so many 30 day supplies filled at a brick and mortar location, they cut you off and refuse to cover any further prescriptions until you use mail order.

@Felthry i would get letters in the mail from the insurance yelling at me for not getting 90 day supplies when they refused to cover them outside of mail order. eventually i switched to mail order and OH BOY is that another set of nightmares entirely. i hope you have better luck.

our insurance has been pestering us to get 90-day prescriptions, so we did, and went to fill it today
took the prescription to the nearest pharmacy. They didn't have it in stock, fair enough, went to another one that did have it in stock
they tried to fill it, and the insurance denied it saying they only allow 30-day prescriptions.
????
but it gets better: we gave up on getting the full 90 days since we need it tomorrow (they can't do a partial fill since it's a controlled substance, so the other 60 days prescribed are just lost)
got a 30 day fill of it
and the insurance gave the pharmacist a message for us, telling her to tell us that they would *really prefer it* if we would get 90-day prescriptions
