the SNES had a really distinctive color scheme, didn't it?
...and then it occurred to us that it's the same as Mewtwo's color scheme
@packbat maybe! I forget if it was an SNES or an NES
@Felthry we remember seeing "it's a SNES!" a lot...
*checks*
yeah, SNES was 1990, Pokemon Red/Blue was 1996

@packbat oh, we know the game came out after the snes, just don't know if it referenced it in-game or not
i guess it wouldn't make much sense to reference the last-gen console though
@Felthry !!!
apparently it was a SNES in Red/Blue/Yellow and a NES in FireRed/LeafGreen! https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Super_Nintendo_Entertainment_System
@packbat apparently Copycat gets an SNES in the remakes still, even though you just get an NES
@Felthry ...Oh, you meant the physical console? Yeah
Although the purple thing is only an ntsc thing. :P
@BatElite i thought it was a not-japan thing! Did you get the SFC colors in europe?
still it's not an NTSC thing because Japan uses NTSC too and their version was colorful
@Felthry The PAL and Japanese consoles both are the colourful type. :P
@Felthry ...didn't first-gen Pokemon have SNESes in people's houses?
