anyone have any tips for removing library stickers from books? it's a paperback book with a glossy cover if that affects anything, and i'm only looking to remove the stickers on the outside; there's an RFID anti-theft sticker on the inner cover covering a bit of the artwork but I don't think we could remove that without damaging the book

(and yes, this is a legally purchased book that's only a *former* library book, if you were worried. I just want it to look nice. Libraries have enough money trouble without people stealing from them, don't steal from libraries)

Specifically, since I feel like talking about it, the book in question is the seventh volume of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, a manga by Hayao Miyazaki (which was later turned into an animated movie by him after he founded Studio Ghibli)

we watched the movie a few months ago and really liked it. it's the first time we've ever watched a movie and *then* decided to get the books it's based on actually

@Felthry [I was kinda wondering and hoping that was the case, but figured it'd be exceedingly rude to ask. Thanks for clarifying! :3]

@IceWolf Yeah, stealing from a library is not a thing we would ever do (intentionally, anyway. I think we did in the past once forget about a library book and end up taking it with us when we moved to another state. The library just charged us the cost to replace the book though, which is what they do when someone loses or destroys a book anyway)
