I can remember the first time I ever tried one. I had no idea about the rind, I just saw it in the grocery store and went "hey, it's a giant citrus thing that looks like a grapefruit, and I like grapefruit". And then I got it home and felt a little cheated.

Didn't taste bad, at least, but ... yeah, the rind is very weird.

@dodec Apparently, the rind can be candied. So I guess it's good if you like that kind of thing?

@Felthry I got to eat one of these once and I loved it, but I also learned very fast why they hybridize these things with an orange to make grapefruit.
