it's famous in large part for being very forgettable

@IceWolf sure, not everyone will have the same experience!
@Felthry I remember the creature designs but that's because in my admittedly bias opinion Wayne Barlow is very good at memorable designs.
The other stuff...wasn't so memorable.
like it's not a particularly great movie, but it's not a particularly bad movie. it's just thoroughly mediocre
it had a ridiculous budget and did really well in theatres but no one actually thinks about it much or really remembers much of it
