what is it with the legend of zelda series and having really good entries that get really poor reception in one way or another on release
wind waker, people hated the cartoonish look but now it's seen as one of the best in the series
majora's mask is a classic and arguably the best in the whole series but we've heard people hated how weird and different it was when it came out
breath of the wild, people loved to hate its music when it came out but it's great music

@Felthry Eh, we could never get into it. We prefer BotW and WW, but that could be because those are the only ones we've managed/bothered to beat.
@The1AndMany it's not the best of the series by a long shot but it's a solid game
it's just following a completely different formula to the rest of the series.

@Felthry The inverse may be true as well. Zelda II apparently came out to pretty strong reviews, but now it's the odd duck of the series.
