Question for other engineering folk here (who have jobs), since we're looking for a job...
How much money do you make, and how many hours per week do you typically work? And do you consider that a fair amount to be paid, or do you think you're overpaid or underpaid? I'm wondering if our lack of luck finding any part-time jobs is due to covid or because part-time engineering jobs are just basically nonexistent

@starfall hmm, that seems good. unless we end up in california or something i think we'll probably be able to live off of $50k/year, and yeah we're hoping for the "just get the work done, doesn't matter if you actually do 40 hours a week" situation too

@Felthry $70,500 USD full time, nominally 40 hours a week but nobody cared when we did 30 in the office (and barely 15 now with our varying level of ability/disability and burnout) because work gets done
the salary is slightly low for the area but it's plenty for us to live on half and help folks out with a lot of the rest, and we get 5 weeks a year of paid time off no questions asked, so it works out
