trying to find an old game we played with once.... i think it was on a palm PDA (remember those?)
you played Totally Not Indiana Jones and were trying to escape some mummies in a pyramid
for every step you took, the opponents took two, always on predictable rules towards you
the whole game was puzzles about abusing the simple AI to get past them
Anyone know what this is, or where we might find it again?

@Felthry Ooh that sounds like fun!
@Felthry Do you mean Mummy Maze? -Annie
@SquirrelLilly looking it up, yeah this is it! do you know if it's available for any modern devices? or just archived somewhere to be emulated? *is* there even a palmos emulator? probably, right?
-F
@Felthry So here is, to my knowledge, a list of all the current PalmOS emulator projects:
https://palmdb.net/apps/tools/emu/
And you'll have to do your own search for the ROMs? The only site I've found is a very plain looking Russian archive that I can't confirm is or isn't safe.
@Patashu we had no idea plants vs zombies was popcap, we mostly know them for making a ton of palmOS game back in the day

@Patashu oh that's it!

@Felthry I don't know, but this does sound quite like a Totally Not Doctor Who Escaping Totally Not The Daleks game that my wife played on her PDA ages ago.
@Austin_Dern @Felthry I think someone elsethread found it - https://elekk.xyz/@SquirrelLilly/104753814889175384 - but we totally thought that too
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chase_(video_game) is the one we're thinking of - the version we played as a kid was Daleks-themed
we were actually just thinking about that last night, weirdly enough!

@packbat @Austin_Dern actually your post about Chase is what got us thinking about those old games we enjoyed years ago
-F
@Felthry @Austin_Dern oh neat!

@Felthry Do a search for Popcap Games Mummy Maze. It's an old game and doesn't seem to be officially supported anymore, but you might be able to find it if you poke around.
another game we had on that PDA was another AI-manipulation puzzle where you tried to move your boat around to get the enemy pirate ships (which again followed predictable AI patterns) to collide with and destroy each other, or get them to shoot each other, or collide with islands
would like to find that one again too i think
