@Felthry Basically the main lore is that the planet is Earth, given the almost complete rearrangement of the continents it's not present day Earth

And that's about it! The rest of the lore is about the creatures themselves, as well as Olimar's and Alph's separate peoples

@Felthry Nope, Olima's Hoccatian, and Alph is Koppaite.

One eats vegetables, the other eats fruit! Both are spacefaring so they know of each other's races etc.
