apparently there's a glitch in ocarina of time where the dampé heart piece would be permanently lost if you dug it up and then left the area without collecting it
grezzo decided this would be one of the bugs they "fixed" in the oot3d release, so they made it so that if you don't pick it up, you can get it again by doing the minigame again
except they forgot to check whether you picked it up so it does that even if you do pick it up
which means you can get infinite heart pieces from dampé

i don't know how grezzo decided what bugs to fix and which ones not to because they fixed so many minor inconsequential ones and left iin all kinds of huge ones like ISG and wrong warps and several ways to escape kokiri forest early

oh they also tried to fix the one where you get into jabu as adult except they somehow managed to fuck up and make it *incredibly easy* to enter jabu as adult
