@Felthry ooh, looks fun!

the idea of "residence" strikes me as a little odd, especially w/r/t storing the core -- is the physical location of the core relevant for much? [ maybe network delays over long distance?? ]

cuz if it's not, I'd expect there to be highrise-sized blocks of nothing but racks and racks of core units, rather than "residences"

Anze stuff

@lioness People who prefer bioform chassis usually like to have a place of residence, and I wanted to avoid potentially implying that some third party can possibly have physical access to what is effectively your brain, or could control its power supply, or anything of the sort.

Anze stuff

@Felthry does "bioform" [sometimes?] mean organic, having a metabolism, etc?

re: Anze stuff

@lioness the glossary goes over that! bioconverted chassis are organic and have a metabolism etc, bioform ones are anything that looks organic regardless of internals (though sometimes it specifically excludes bioconverted ones). They may have a synthetic digestive system and stuff, or may run purely on batteries.

anze architecture //

@Felthry architecture/landscaping in general becomes really interesting if the primary purpose of using a chassis is for embodied interaction -- you'll presumably have some industry or manufacturing capabilities somewhere, and there'll need to be transport

but other than that I'm not thinking of many reasons to build a location other than to facilitate a certain kind of interaction, or to provide a certain kind of mood/atmosphere/context for interaction

re: anze architecture //

@Felthry I bet they make a lot of ball pits & other park / play spaces

re: anze architecture //

@lioness Most Anzeans were originally organic beings and do carry the habits of those... Food and drink and such is even still a thing even for those who don't require it, though it's now more enjoying the taste than anything else. Plus, the majority of interaction is done in embodied form, as that's also just more comfortable. The idea here is not to be hyperoptimized, but just to be able to properly enjoy life

Relaxing at home in one or more chassis is also something people do, not just wearing them for interacting with others. and even using computers using a mouse and keyboard rather than a direct brain-computer interface, because for a lot of people... that's just the way they prefer it

@Felthry Fun thoughts to read! Thanks for sharing.

I'm drawn to thoughts about the fashions and styles of people's chassis. Also, since there must be a lot of standardization of chassis parts, what quirks came about to make *those* the standards versus some other plausible standard. And the people who decide they've just got to have something that isn't Properly Standard for whatever their reasons.
