i want a jrpg where you kill the final boss and then that's the halfway point of the game, you don't get your credits and satisfaction until you've helped rebuild the stuff the big bad guy destroyed
-F

@Felthry that would be really good

imagining that there are, like, base-building systems and social systems from the start, so

by the time you take out the final boss, you're already a part of the community of people trying to rebuild

final fantasy 6 spoilers

@packbat I know FFVI was already extended past its originally intended ending (there was supposed to be a final battle on the floating continent and the game would end there, but they found they had tons more development time than they needed so made it longer) but it would have been a good candidate for something like this

like the world is pretty much completely destroyed at the end, all you did was take out the guy who destroyed it, stuff's still bad

let us see cyan lead an army of rebuilders to restore doma to its former glory

let us see celes lead the people of what remains of the empire to a new peaceful life

see locke take banon's place and, i dunno, have the returners be a political party in celes's ex-empire

see Relm and Strago go out and teach people outside of Thamasa to use magic

-F

@Felthry is fine!

we were just infodumping about C:DDA at friends earlier, we get it - and it was CWed correctly

also it was apt
