the idea of a triple fault is kind of amusing to me
a processor encounters an error, so it goes into an error handling routine, but if an error occurs when trying to go to the error handler it then tries to go to an error handling routine for the error handling routine, but if an error happens there it just gives up and resets itself

the only situation i can think of where that could happen is if there's a problem with the memory, or the interrupt vector table is corrupted, and resetting won't fix either of those
