anyone here playing/played new pokemon snap and can tell me how on earth we're supposed to unlock the maricopia illumina spot? or just anyone willing to risk spoilers looking it up for us

@Felthry meaning I don't care about spoilers so I looked it up :)

like the other ones, you need a picture of a flower. I think it's the same kind of flower but apparently in pokémon sometimes flowers can grow on both dry land and in salt oceans? hopefully "throw stuff at (conspicuous?) pokémon to get them to do stuff" isn't a spoiler, I haven't played the new one.

@lioness somehow i never realized it was pictures of the crystablooms that unlocked the other ones??? i thought it was just getting to a certain research level on the relevant locations

@Felthry if I'm reading this correctly, showing prof the pictures of the blooms is what causes him to give you (new types of?) "illumina orbs", and then you can maybe use those to get pokémon to show you hidden areas

@lioness oh no we already have the illumina orbs

the illumina spot is another location we can unlock and i can't figure out how to get that

@lioness if you can get any information on unlocking the illumina spot, not the orbs, that would be great, but if not i can keep trying stuff or ask someone else

@Felthry there's a specific pokémon you need to throw one of the (pink?) orbs at. should be close to the beginning of the level, you're looking for something underwater and/or underground.
