...so apparently, nintendo did *not* fix the back in time glitch in skyward sword hd
you just can't do it outside of an emulator because the switch doesn't have a reset button

@LexYeen It doesn't work like the reset would need to for the glitch to work though; the wii's reset button (and indeed the gamecube's and i think wii u's too) simply reset the *game*, returning directly to the game's opening / title screen without turning off the console (the NES and SNES did the same but in their case it was a bit different since they didn't have a bios anyway)

@Felthry Hmmm... Now I'm thinking of ways to mimic hardware resets.
Does going back to the Switch home menu and closing the game without saving do similar, or no?
@LexYeen It does not. The reset has to be a *direct* jump from gameplay to the title screen with *nothing* in between for the glitch to work. It also has to be frame perfect the moment you pick "continue" after dying in the game
even on the original, iwrc, it could only be done by physically pressing the reset button on the wii; opening the home button menu and picking reset wouldn't work
-F
@Patashu unlikely; i don't know if that input exists
-F
@Felthry Well, not a hard reset button anyway. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds while your Switch is on, like you would the lock button on a smartphone, and a power-management menu comes up with the option to fully shut the device down or restart it.
