GW2 LW S4E6 spoilers //

spontaneously coming back from the dead at your own funeral? (we knew it had to happen somehow, because she's around in later episodes)

the impressive part about it is that it was totally set-up with the in-universe magic logic -- dragons eat magic to gain the powers/associations of the magic they eat; aurene ate an immortal lich. obviously she comes back from the dead now.

@lioness I doubt it's something I care about but I just want to say that CW is utterly incomprehensible (presumably unless you already know what it is you're referring to)

@Felthry it's for the game Guild Wars 2 (living world season 4, episode 6) -- my thought is that anyone who plays would know what it meant, and anyone who doesn't wouldn't care about spoiling themselves

but I guess that doesn't help if they don't know that, you're right

@lioness see my "i probably don't care about this" judgment was based on the season/episode marker which I took to mean "this is definitely some TV show" and since we don't watch TV I figured we wouldn't care about it

@Felthry (part of) their revenue model is that the game world has an ongoing plot ("living world"), new episodes of which are released periodically -- campaign/mission packs, essentially. anyone who logs in unlocks the current episode for free, but if you want to play the chapters that lead up to it, you buy them as DLC, essentially.

@Felthry when the game launched 9 years ago, the single player campaign goes through killing the undeath elder dragon. the next expansion is called End of Dragons (due in Feb 2022) because the ongoing campaign has wound through the defeat of the other 4 elder dragons terrorizing the world (plus [the last] literal god and a next-best-thing lich king.)
