@sharkNserg They're generally pretty nice for the sorts of games we play, so I guess it just didn't occur to us that they might not be for other types!

@sharkNserg I think every smash bros since melee except the 3ds one supports gamecube controllers, right?
-F
@Felthry they dooo, I sometimes end up in a situation where I gotta play with something else though and it's certainly not preferred
@sharkNserg gamecube controllers are possibly the best controllers that have been made and i don't know why they don't use similar designs anymore
-F
@Felthry they're certainly great for games designed around them, but using them for shooters or for traditional fighting games is really miserable, weh
@sharkNserg yeah i guess what nintendo does now where you can use one but don't need to is probably the best way to do it (if you plug in the adapter for anything that doesn''t explicitly support it, it'll show up as a switch pro controller)
-F
@Felthry I wonder if the Switch version of Rivals of Aether recognizes them?
@sharkNserg if you have it, give it a try!
-F
@Felthry the octagon gate is sorely missed in Smash Bros for me, weh
