Cleaning product misconception
Apparently some people are under the impression that you can use magic erasers on skin which is scary because no you will just get chemical burns
Someone I went to church with got paint on her skin and her foster parents told her to use a magic eraser to get it off resulting in a bad rash. I was very concerned
So PSA: don't use that on your skin!
re: Cleaning product misconception
@RadiantEmber further clarification: you won't get chemical burns but you'll get bad abrasive burns
magic erasers work purely by abrasion, they're literally just blocks of melamine foam. no hazardous chemicals involved, just abrasive foam

re: Cleaning product misconception
@RadiantEmber still very much a bad idea to use on skin of course!
And there may be magic eraser plus clorox or something that would be extra bad

@Felthry yeah I mean, that seems much more in line with what I saw on the skin of said acquaintance from church. And I guess maybe that's why people don't realize they are dangerous on the skin? They might assume since there's no chemicals and it seems like a sponge it should be fine
