having never seen either, we kind of just assumed that judge dredd and judge judy were the same show, constantly thinking we were misremembering the name whenever someone mentioned one
but apparently they're different

@DarkOverord look we'd never seen either beyond just, hearing about them in passing as a thing that exists
the names are similar enough that we just thought we were misremembering when someone mentioned one and we thought of the other name

@Felthry @DarkOverord Will say the Judge Dredd pinball game has its charms, at least in virtual simulation. (Every real-world table I've played it on has been difficult. Very difficult.)
I'm not sure how one would do a Judge Judy pinball but, mm, they made a Q*Bert pinball back in the 80s so who can say what makes sense, anyway?
@Austin_Dern @Felthry @DarkOverord
Yes... but that Q-bert table is... WEIRD...
Judge Dread was always a fun table, but I did not at all understand the higher-priced special mode, years back when it was in a local comic store... it was still fun. The left-right ramp combos flowed fairly well once you got the timing down.
@JulieSqveakaroo Yeah, but I really, really liked the Q-Ber table the one time I got to play it. *Such* satisfying shots.
I've never been able to get the combo timing on a real Judge Dredd, but it's become one of my comfort games in Pinball Arcade. Have yet to try the super-mode or whatever that is in virtual form, though, oddly.
Granted, the only time I've physically found the Q*bert table, the flippers were not very strong, so it soured my experience. It was a neat idea, though, and I won't knock them trying something different.
@JulieSqveakaroo Ah yeah, that'll wreck the game (as I remember). The one I got to play had just this sweet feeling for when to shoot the ball into that loop. And I even managed the kick-back with that second pair of flippers once, which is all you need to love a gimmick forever.
But then I'm also the guy who likes the banana flippers on 'Time Warp'.
Oh, no worries there... I'd still be absolutely enthralled to find a good condition BoneBusters table... the emulation version is missing OneEye from the top of the upper box, and it's JUST not the same without it.
@Felthry OH
Very different
Incredibly different
