I enjoy watching the Link to the Past Randomizer tourney races (the 2022 bracket matches just started, which have been a nice companion while working on stuff), but it's made me wonder. Are there any games that work this way by default? Not full-on roguelike with random maps and enemy placement, but fixed maps and obstacles with items scattered everywhere.

@bj we've been told one of the lufia games has a side dungeon that works like that

@Felthry @bj Rogue Legacy works like this, I think... the maps and items are sort-of randomized but the 'zones' are always distinct. Noita, in some regards - the map structure is always the same, albeit contents randomized within those zones.
