@Felthry I have no idea about the finer details of Klingon culture - they've only really shown it off a handful of times in the live action shows, and the animated series Lower Decks has shown a "Little Qo'noS" - but that definitely seems like a good reason why something otherwise acceptable in Klingon society could be illegal. "We could've filed the paperwork, BUT THAT WOULD'VE BEEN DISHONORABLE!"
