So, I've been slowly following folks on Mastodon. The interplay between different instances is interesting.

In particular, I keep getting tremendously unhelpful errors that are like, "Sorry! An error occured." and I have no idea what to do.

Particularly happens when either trying to follow someone or reply to a toot. Haven't had it not happen once yet, where it does, but it doesn't happen everywhere.

What do I do?

Follow

@relee Are any of the accounts you're trying to follow on a server called snouts.online? that server was shut down a while ago, which would be the cause of the error, but there will still be records of people's accounts there on other servers

@Felthry I don't see any from snouts.online. They seem to be on mastodon.social and lgbt.io

@relee I'm not sure, but mastodon.social is blocked by a lot of instances because of how badly moderated it is. Does plush.city have it blocked?
-F

@Felthry On investigation, yes that is on the block list.

Not sure what might be up with lgbt.io but maybe I'll check their info and see if we're blocked by them instead, or something.
