As I understand, the fiction for ship gravity in The Expanse is "We invented a new type of engine that's super efficient and has massive top speeds (since, you know, space) but acceleration is glacial, so we just build the ship to use acceleration inertia as gravity by aligning cabin normals with flight trajectory and accelerate the entire trip"

That's.... pretty cool. Unsure the math would work.

@trysdyn The math actually works out perfectly--the fact that an accelerating reference frame is indistinguishable from a gravitational field is actually the central tenet of special relativity
