I tried making a pizza with baking powder instead of yeast and I think it went very well. I'm actually not sure how that changes the actual result, just that both produce pizza I like, and one of them probably more forgiving than the other.

@NovaSquirrel Baking powder, at least the modern double-acting type, is very forgiving. It gives you a less yeasty taste (obviously) but you don't need to worry about killing it.
