I love how Comcast (whom I didn't want to use but was literally the only option in town) sends vee spam every. single. day trying to upsell vee to stuff I don't even use or need.

And they flat out say in the footer of their e-mail where an unsubscribe link should be "This is an advertisement. You are getting this due to your business relationship with us". No un-sub link, course.

@trysdyn isn't it illegal not to have an unsubscribe link? or have they found some kind of loophole? Or are they just willing to pay the fine to be able to keep spamming people

@Felthry It's not technically spam if you have a prior business relationship.

pretty sure that exception is meant so that they can always send you emails saying stuff like "there will be a service outage on date" or "here's a reminder to pay your bill", not "here buy all this other stuff", which is still spam as far as we're concerned
