Does anyone know what "O Y O" means?

We've seen three separate motels around here have that on their signs
-F

to clarify: this is the *only* thing on their signs. both sides just say O Y O, with very deliberate spaces between the letters, and nothing else

as far as we know none of the motels are affiliated with each other

@Felthry apparently OYO is a big company that owns/buys a lot of hotels?

@lioness someone else noted that but the list of brands they own on wikipedia doesn't include any of the ones in question
-F

@lioness these are also motels, not hotels, unless you consider a motel a type of hotel?
-F

@Felthry @lioness Motel is derived from "motor hotel" as in a hotel intended for travelers taking road trips that do not need as many amenities. So yes, a motel would be a type of hotel.

@Felthry @lioness From what I understand OYO *is* the brand name, similar to Holiday Inn, Red Roof Inn, Embassy Suites, Marriott, etc.
