thinking of going to a japanese restaurant we've never been to before that's near our apartment
but we've never been there before and asian cuisines often have a *lot* of stuff we don't like mixed in with the stuff we do

@dodec we actually did end up going there and got a steak teriyaki plate that was pretty good!
the main problems are that we're real picky about vegetables (broccoli and carrots are really the only always-safe ones) and we really dislike mushrooms and seafood
and vegetables of all sorts, and mushrooms, and seafood, are all major parts of japanese cuisine

Sounds good. Having a good teriyaki place nearby is really nice; there's one up the street from me that I often walk to for lunch when I'm working from home. I might go there tomorrow, in fact.
