I don't really like the convention of referring to, for example, the pronoun set of she/her and they/them as "she/they", because that's like. A completely different meaning for the slash?

Or more accurately, I do like that, I just don't like the USUAL convention of "she/her" because for well-known sets it's redundant, and for lesser known sets it's not enough

And the slash doesn't mean "and", it usually means "or"!

I think ideally I just wanna say "my pronouns are it", or even "my pronoun is it", and extrapolate from there

And if you want to give a nonstandard set, just describe all of them? Like, not YOU specifically, but it should be described SOMEWHERE. If you just say "my pronouns are ze/hir" and I can't look them up, I basically have to guess the rest of the forms. So why give those two forms specifically. I don't get it

@socks yeah i would just say "I use it pronouns" personally

@Felthry That sounds like the most comfortable to me, but it's not the standard

And if it WAS, then "she/they" would make a lot more sense in my opinion

Follow

@socks it's not the standard, but it's how we have characters introduce themselves in things we write. it just feels like the most comfortable way
