relatedly, we devoured the first season of The Legend of Korra in like two days after he put on an episode for background noise and I was like "hold the fucking phone, this show kicks ass, I'm actually watching this"

as an amateur linguist, I *really* appreciate that the culture with zeppelins has the word "aircraft" and "airfield" but does not know the word "airplane" until someone from the organization that uses airplanes says the word in front of them. now *that's* worldbuilding dripping with care and love
it probably comes as a surprise to absolutely nobody that Mia likes the show starring the dark-skinned tomboy with magic powers whose solution to everything is "let's just fuckin' punch the shit out of 'em," and she uses her magic to just creatively punch shit even harder
this is literally every character I have ever created, because it is peak character design. you cannot improve on this archetype
