a poll, just because I felt like it
hmm,
What pokemon typing do you think fits me best, out of these?
Pick as many as you like, just remember: If there's a clear winner, or a close match between the top two, I'll make a similar poll to this one but with a selection of different pokemon of that type or split type.
assign a pokemon to me (poll pt 2)
Because of a lack of specifically Dark/Steel types (literally only the pawniard line), I'm going to be including a selection of single-type Dark and Steel types too. Fun fact, there's a massive lack of mono-Steel. No particular order beyond "the order I found them," and no other cross-types included.
Write-ins from any cross-types welcome, and again, feel free to vote for multiples.
Not including the Scarlet/Violet 'dex in this because game spoilers. If you'd like to write in with one, please change the content warning to indicate game spoilers. ![]()

@TobySocks @LexYeen Oooh, I didn't vote write-in but i could see them as an obstagoon.

@LexYeen Yup, yup, that's all fair. Appreciate the thought put behind your reasoning and hope you find a good fit. 💜
re: assign a pokemon to me (poll pt 2)
@LexYeen @TobySocks i could definitely see a chill obstagoon though. looks loud, but is soft and quiet until loud is needed

re: assign a pokemon to me (poll pt 2)
@Felthry @TobySocks Now that the poll's over, I'll chip in with my thoughts: Obstagoon feels too *loud* to suit me, just... Overall, the entire vibe is too much for me. Great vibe, and it has its place! That place just isn't me.
Scraggy/Scrafty... Something about that design just squicks me and I do not know what it is.
Pancham/Pangoro, being fighting types first, don't quite vibe with my personality either. Too serious, too physicality-first. I'm the *least* likely to start shit, and if I'm caught in an honest knock-down drag-out fight? There's no way I'm gonna be fighting in anything approaching a clean manner if only one person's walking away.
As for Sandile/Krokorok/Krookodile? They're cute, and great at battling besides, but this one's simple and I'm gonna quote Anakin Skywalker to make it simpler: "I don’t like sand. It’s coarse and rough and irritating… and it gets everywhere." No subtext here, sand's just *hell* for my texture sensitivity. It's bad enough I doubt even a species change to one adapted to literally living in sand would change that aspect of my neurodivergence. 😅
