and really i think that's what matters, ultimately. maturity, not age. Age is a weak proxy for maturity, but the best one there is that's measurable, which is why so many laws have age boundaries; you have to be this old to drive, this old to vote, this old to drink alcohol, and so on
but it's not really age that matters in what makes someone an adult or not
