I would choose the old popeye thimble theater comics
and it is shameful what i would choose this over, frankly. it's the one thing I *know* I know more than anything else on this earth
But it's been like 5 or 6 years so I should get another read through just in case. Gotta brush up on how many times popeye refers to himself as a lonely cowboy or what year the carbon monoxide ghost arc is

like, okay how many printings, what are the variations to account for, what counts as an issue, does it necessarily need to be published, etc
