It existed, but it was a rare cabinet, even back then. I think I only ever saw it in one arcade, back in the day.

@JulieSqveakaroo is it any good? I mean, we only ever played the 2600 version of joust, but it was definitely a fun game. wondering if joust 2 lived up to that!

It was VERY good, but...
The boards fully change every round, but the screen is vertical and not horizontal, so the boards are not as wide... wrap-around movement is still a thing, but the narrower screen makes it more complicated, and you don't ever have dedicated vertical areas to stay in.
The transformation button works qvickly and can be used as many times as you want back and forth, but the pegasus has a bigger hit box and lacks the ability to gain height fast, so the ostrich is still the more versatile riding beast.
Beyond enemy riders, there are now a lot of mini bats on many of the stages. They move oddly, and are harder to hit.
Still, it's a ton of fun!
