I remember when Old Navy was first founded, I thought it was an odd choice of brand name. Doesn't "old" have negative connotations? Why would anyone put it in a brand name?
But then I thought harder, and I was able to think of several more brands containing the word "old". It conveys nostalgia for simpler times and better quality.

There's a district here in bend called the old mill district, i think one or two local places call themselves "old mill (something)"
