a lot of people who play shield cat don't realize that you can talk to NPCs multiple times and, for the most part, get unique dialogue each time until you've exhausted their dialogue (then you can't talk to them anymore)
there are only a few exceptions, mainly in the intro area when an NPC says something that's really important, just in case you missed it, so you can catch it again (in case you haven't caught on to the logging yet, since it's not directly told to you that that's a thing until later)
