@noracodes (stuff from the 80s and older is probably going to be quite reliable, because the late 80s to 90s is around when they stopped building stuff to last. we have a power supply from the 60s at work and it's given us less trouble than almost anything else we have there)

@noracodes as far as new options go, we can make a specific recommendation for the GW Instek GPP-4323 as a really handy power supply. 4 channels; two 32 V/3 A, 1 15 V/1 A, and 1 5 V/1 A, and the 32 V channels can be internally put in series or parallel. I think it costs more than half your budget if you get a new one though, unfortunately
