another lesson we have learned since switching to Linux: filesystems are a social construct

- 🎒

Windows: okay, this is a shortcut, right? if you follow this shortcut, your path will change and say what your *actual* path is, because the actual path is an objective law of nature

Linux: oh yeah, this is the route you took to get here - if you wanted to go another path you could, but like, this is the path you did take

- 🎒

and I mean, yes, we did end up briefly having two separate folders that both said they were at the path '/Games 2' and yet had different files in them, but, uh, we've been reliably informed that that usually doesn't happen so we're just not gonna worry about that

and the folder that's sitting somewhere cursed and forgotten wherever nega-Games 2 lives in the bytestream is empty and we probably can't even find it any more, so, all good! :blob_finger_guns:

@packbat i don't think that's supposed to be possible

@Felthry it definitely seems like it shouldn't be! our best theory is that when we tried to point Lutris at the directory, it actually would up doing something very weird and creating the nega-Games 2 folder.
