Gonna explore MiSTer since I find FPGA stuff interesting, and having one device that can do tons of stuff sounds really appealing.
I guess that means I'll have several different ways to play the same games, but that was already the case haha. I just like cool gadgets!!
Though it's much cooler if I ignore "yet another way to play NES" and focus on how I can run things like arcade games, or consoles I think are neat but don't care enough about to get the original, like anything pre-NES.
I can already run much everything on my Steam Deck, but it's cool to do so in a totally different way.
My DE10-Nano and all of the addons I ordered arrived today so now I've got a MiSTer all set up! It's really cool seeing an FPGA play PS1 games. I should probably get it some sort of case though; it feels weird just having exposed circuit boards.
@NovaSquirrel I love mine too; I got the kit with the aluminum case from MiSTer-Addons (in a fetching purple color), so I can vouch for them being a good place to get one.
