tabletop stories, fantasy violence
it's so hard to go back to D&Dlikes after our Fate game
I get to write things like "i invoke Aspiring Stylish Hero to eject the misfiring chemical shell from my sword, catch it in midair, snag it in my fist like an outstretched middle finger, and then punch it against the enemy's plating to detonate it" and everyone else in the call is just hooting in delight
just "i have a sword that breaks open like a shotgun to load chemical shells that contain rejected rocket fuel from an ancient civilization that simultaneously melts and explodes the ancient robots we fight" alone is more powerful than any D&D engine will ever be able to handle
re: tabletop stories, fantasy violence
@gardevoir Fate is the only ttrpg we've ever played, and i can't imagine people enjoying the storytelling limitations of D&D
