do ppl wANT the awkward experience of assuming someone's gender and needing to be corrected afterward
like disregarding the "did you just assume my gender" thing, if a person doesn't put pronouns in their bio, and a person interacts with them and assumes they're x gender, and that goes wrong; why would u want that over ppl communicating clearly in the first place

i shouldn't presume what other ppl mean by it, but the only way social engagements go over nicely online without disclosing or communicating pronouns first is if literally everyone is using the same ones?? so like, no, the internet shouldn't be a boy's club
