anyone else get an awareness that their thoughts have different... volumes? intensities? to them?

some of mine are really strong and even overwhelming and i have to stop for a bit to let them settle, and some of them are so whisper quiet we have to deliberately make room for them

and some are completely silent, known only by their effect on ourself and the world around us

and there's this noise floor that's always there, making it difficult sometimes to tell anything

like, noise in the sense that it's difficult to get a clear signal sometimes

but also, we often hear music in our head too. like someone's playing it

maybe this is part of how executive function is hard to come by sometimes. the thought that i need to or want to do something can't get over the noise floor and be heard, so it can't get consensus and acted on.

a lot of things we want to do are just whispers. persistent but never quite translate into action.
