meta

i feel like my timeline has covered everything that i have to say about the current situation but the kind of distaste that gets flung at monads and myass is shitty and racist and like, if u want to know why pv went offline, look at that. the fact that there was some beef between the various poc-led instances on the fediverse is not why they went offline. pv went offline because the fediverse /at large/ was flagrantly racist and hated black people carving out a space for them, and that doesn't just come through as obvious 4chan redditors shouting slurs. it primarily comes through as people who make trumped up charges of bad behavior against people of color. i guess i ended up saying my thoughts anyway

knight!

re: meta

@shoofle Monads and Myass were part of the problem that have driven a lot of people including PlayVicious folks away from the Fedi with anti-blackness.

re: meta

@FreyaManibrandr i think it is disingenuous and kinda racist to point the blame at monads and myass for antiblackness rather than the larger culture of the fediverse.

re: meta

@shoofle And I think that it's DARVO to frame community self-defense measures against long-standing anti-blackness issues as racist scapegoating when it's really shitty people using the same abusive tactics as fascist groups to spread spite and poison discourse, and then use identity as a shield to aggressively evade accountability.

I've been following a couple of the victims in this situation. you can't fool me. Nice try though.
